Delicious Meals You Can Prepare on the Go

There may be days when everything on your to-do list has you moving non-stop, so cook these meals you can prepare on the go to compliment your busy day. 

Everyone loves the relaxation that comes with a day of leisure, but there are times when life gets in the way and forces us to move on the double. So frantic that you may forget to eat altogether, which is not healthy. If you want to eat your meals and get everything on your to-do list finished, here are a few delicious meals you can prepare on the go.

Chicken Salad Pita

Mix all the ingredients together, and stuff them into the pita.

  • 1 whole-wheat pita (6 1/2-inch diameter)
  • 1/2 grated apple
  • 1/2 cup of chicken breast
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon of low-fat Greek yogurt

Vegetarian Mediterranean Wrap

Mix all the ingredients and spread onto the tortilla and roll like a wrap.

  • 1/4 cup of hummus
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • 4 chopped black olives
  • 1 tablespoon feta
  • 1 whole-wheat tortilla

Goat Cheese, Lentil, and Couscous Salad

Mix all the ingredients listed below into a bowl and enjoy with a spoon or fork! (And if you live life on the edge, a spork.)

  • 1/4 cup cooked lentils
  • 1/2 cup cooked whole wheat couscous
  • 3/4 cup cherry tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons of crumbled goat cheese

Chili Pita

Mix the ingredients and wrap them in the pita. This on-the-go pita wrap can be made spicy to give you a little kick.

  • 1 whole wheat pita
  • 1/4 cup refried beans
  • 1/4 cup salsa (mild, medium, or hot)
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
